## From Hiking Pole to Quad Cane

The amount of support one needs is an individual matter. That's why we offer a variety of different canes, each fulfilling different needs. A cane isn't just a cane; they come in various types and models. Here you will find everything from standard walking canes, which are height-adjustable, to more specialized canes like quad canes and elbow canes.

Here you can read some general information about different models:

### Hiking Pole

If you only need light support on your walk in nature, you can choose a hiking pole. The hiking pole is easy to adjust and can also be used as a ski pole.

### Collapsible Cane

A collapsible cane is easy to carry on the go as it doesn't take up much space. If you need a little extra help with balance when moving around, our walking cane or collapsible cane made of carbon fiber is a great option. This carbon model is very light, and additionally, it can be folded so you can quickly pack it away and carry it in your bag. You can also purchase a stylish bag in which the collapsible cane can be easily stored.

### Elbow Cane

An elbow cane, also known as a crutch, is ideal if you need extra support up your arm.

### Quad Cane (Cane with Four Legs)

If you require a little extra support on your walks, a quad cane is a great choice. The four legs provide you with additional balance, ensuring more stability than a standard cane.

Once you've determined the requirements your cane must meet, you can easily browse through our products here on the page and find the right model.

## Guide: How Tall Should a Cane Be?

Many are also unsure about how to adjust the cane correctly for use. It's important that it's neither too low nor too high when you walk with it, as this can lead to shoulder and back pain, ultimately straining your body unnecessarily.

**For non-height-adjustable canes:**

As a rule of thumb, the correct length of a cane is approximately half of your total height, but the most accurate measurement is obtained by measuring from wrist to the floor as explained below:

1. Stand up straight with relaxed shoulders and arms at your sides, ideally with shoes on.
2. Have someone measure the distance from the floor up to your wrist. This distance corresponds to the length of your cane from the floor to the top of the handle. It doesn't need to be precise to the centimeter but should not vary by more than +/- 2 cm.

**For height-adjustable canes:**

1. Stand up straight with relaxed shoulders and arms at your sides.
2. The height of the cane’s handle should be adjusted so the top aligns with your wrist +/- 2 cm.

The proper height of your cane = the same distance as from your wrist down to the floor.

## Find Canes with Style

Although canes primarily serve a practical function, there's nothing wrong with them being stylish and elegant. That’s why we offer canes that also focus on design, fine craftsmanship, and aesthetics. Our canes are available in many different colors and patterns for both women and men. This way, you'll always be able to find a cane that suits your style and personality. You can, for example, choose from sophisticated canes in classic wood, decorated canes with floral designs, canes in vibrant colors, and with a variety of handles and carvings.

## Should I Choose a Cane for the Right or Left Side?

If your right leg is giving you trouble, you should use your cane on the left side. By using the cane on the opposite side of the injured leg, you evenly distribute the load between the healthy leg and the cane.
