The Seniorshop was founded by the Wedege family and is now operated by the second generation.
The idea for Seniorshop first emerged back in 1980 when Lone Wedege worked as a certified orthotist at a clinic. There, she met people every day who lacked a place to buy assistive devices while also receiving professional advice and guidance. This inspired Lone to create a store where everyone could easily access these essential products.
The vision became reality in 2008 when Lone, along with her husband Bobbie, opened the doors to Seniorshop for the first time.
Today, Seniorshop is run by Lone and Bobbie's son, Steffen Wedege, who has been part of the company since 2009. Lone continues to lend her vast experience and expertise from the sidelines.
Seniorshop operates both as an online store and a physical location in Søborg.
