## Find specially designed cutlery for seniors and the disabled

If you struggle with reduced strength in your hands or fingers, or suffer from an illness, specially designed ergonomic cutlery and other eating aids for the disabled can significantly assist you in your everyday life.

On this page, we offer a wide selection of ergonomic cutlery for seniors and the disabled, making mealtime a simpler and more enjoyable experience for those with motor challenges.

## Ergonomic cutlery makes mealtime easier to handle

Regular cutlery is often thin, smooth, and difficult to hold, but with specially ergonomic cutlery, you can overcome this issue. Our selection includes cutlery with thick and non-slip handles, making it much easier to grip your fork, knife, or spoon.

Our disability-friendly and ergonomic cutlery is particularly suitable for individuals facing challenges such as:

- Arthritis
- Parkinson's
- Reduced mobility or weakened muscles in the hands and fingers

The thick handles on the cutlery mean that you don't have to strain the muscles and joints in your hands and fingers as you would with regular cutlery. Additionally, the thick handles are often coated with anti-slip material, preventing them from slipping out of your hand.

If you want to keep your current cutlery, you can also purchase thick handles to attach over your regular cutlery.

## Make dining even more gentle with angled and bendable cutlery

Curved or angled cutlery is ideal for those who experience pain in the wrist or elbow and need to protect these joints as much as possible. When the cutlery is curved, you don't have to bend your joints as you move food from the plate to your mouth. The angled cutlery can, of course, be chosen for both left-handers and right-handers.

Many of our cutlery pieces with thick handles are adjustable and can be bent and angled as needed. This will be clearly stated in the specifications for each product.

Please note that some of our cutlery items are sold individually, even though the product image shows all the items together. After clicking on a product, you must select whether you want to buy a knife, fork, or spoon. You can, of course, add all the different pieces to your cart if you wish for a complete set.

Some of our cutlery products are also sold in sets, which will be clearly indicated under each product.

## Discover more ergonomic aids for the kitchen

At Seniorshop, our goal is to make life easier for seniors. We therefore have Denmark's largest selection of aids, ranging from large to small items – and this naturally includes the kitchen.

Our many kitchen items are specially designed for individuals with various types of functional impairments, such as in the arms, hands, or fingers. The many small aids include items like can openers, mugs, cups, special cutting boards, and much, much more.

A significant category in the kitchen is ergonomic kitchen knives. Here you'll find a large selection of kitchen knives with angled handles, which – just like the cutlery – significantly relieve and protect your wrists.
