The 3-section Trail Back hiking poles from Black Diamond are classic and stable, designed for allround use. These poles are adjusted and secured with Black Diamond's smart FlickLock system, allowing for quick and easy length adjustments.

Trail Back features extended dual-density grips that let you change hand positions comfortably, while the adjustable straps enhance both comfort and safety during your hike. Sold as a set of two, these poles come with interchangeable baskets, including a special basket for snow. Available in ice blue and rust red.

Seamless Height Adjustment:

Using the clever FlickLock® system, the hiking poles can be easily and quickly adjusted in height. Flip up the small handle on the lock to adjust to your desired length, then secure it by flipping the handle back down.

The height can be modified using a telescopic function, where the pole can be compacted and extended (similar to a telescope).

To maximize the benefits of your hiking pole, it's important to set the height correctly for you. Walking with the poles should feel natural; if set too short or long, you may experience tense shoulders or lower back.

↪ Good Rule of Thumb: Ensure that your elbow forms a 90° angle when the pole touches the ground while walking on flat terrain.

In upward terrain, it's recommended to shorten the pole by 5-10 cm. Similarly, consider shortening the poles by 5-10 cm when descending.
