Lightweight and Durable Trekking Poles

These versatile and compact 3-piece trekking poles from Black Diamond are made from aluminum and feature the smart FlickLock system, making them incredibly easy to adjust for height. The comfortable EVA foam grips come with practical wrist straps to ensure a secure hold and complete control throughout your hike.

When fully folded, the poles measure only 61.5 cm, allowing you to easily transport them in your bag or car. The Explorer 3 is sold as a set of 2 and comes with interchangeable baskets, including a special basket for snow.

Seamless Height Adjustment:

With the smart FlickLock® system, you can easily and quickly adjust the poles' height. Flip the small handle on the lock, adjust the pole to your desired length, and lock it by flipping the handle back down.

The height is adjusted using a telescoping function, allowing the pole to be retracted and extended (similar to a telescope).

To maximize the benefits of your trekking pole, it's important that the height is set correctly for you. Walking with poles should feel natural, and if they're too short or too long, you might experience tense shoulders or back.

↪ Good Rule of Thumb: Make sure your elbow forms a 90° angle when the pole touches the ground and you're walking on flat terrain.

If you're going uphill, it's recommended to shorten the trekking pole by 5-10 cm. Similarly, it might be a good idea to shorten the poles by 5-10 cm when going downhill.
