Not sure how tall your cane should be? It's easy to measure at home. As a general reference, the right length is about half your total height. For a more tailored measurement, follow these simple steps to find the ideal length from wrist to floor:

Stand upright with relaxed shoulders, arms resting naturally by your sides, and wearing your usual shoes.
Ask someone to measure from the floor up to your wrist. This distance is the optimal cane length from the ground to the top of the handle. While it doesn’t need to be precise to the centimeter, aim to stay within +/- 2 cm for best comfort.

How to Shorten Your Cane
Once you’ve determined the proper height, remove the rubber tip, saw the cane to the needed length, and then reattach the tip. Your cane is now ready to use, perfectly suited for you.
