Measures Body Temperature and Liquids

The innovative ear thermometer from Seagull offers two convenient functions: it measures body temperature and checks the temperature of liquids or objects—like bathwater.

The thermometer uses infrared light to provide fast and easy ear temperature readings. For hygienic and precise measurements, always cover the tip with a new plastic ear cap before each use. This not only ensures accurate results but also keeps the thermometer clean from dirt and earwax.

Designed to fit comfortably in your hand, the thermometer has just two buttons for simple, intuitive operation. When not in use, you can store it neatly in the included holder.

How to Use the Ear Thermometer

  1. Fit a clean, new plastic ear cap onto the tip. Make sure the cap is properly in place. The Display will alert you if the cap is missing or not positioned correctly by showing the letters CAP. Your purchase includes 15 ear caps, and more can be bought separately if needed.
  2. Press the power button. The Display will briefly show all the symbols while the device checks its functions before you begin measuring.
  3. Once ready, the thermometer will emit a beep, signaling that you can take a measurement.
  4. Gently pull the ear upwards to straighten the ear canal, and insert the thermometer so it creates a secure seal. Press the TEST button to begin.
  5. The thermometer measures in about 1 second and beeps when complete. The result appears instantly on the Display.
  6. You’re ready for a new measurement as soon as the ear icon returns to the Display. For the most reliable results, wait at least 20 seconds between measurements and always use a fresh ear cap.
  7. The thermometer powers off automatically after 60 seconds, or you can switch it off manually with the power button.

Reading Results:

🙂 A happy smiley appears on the Display if the reading is below 37.8°C.

🙁 A sad smiley appears if the reading is above 37.8°C.

Measuring the Temperature of Liquids or Objects

To measure the temperature of a liquid or object, switch to "object mode" by holding down the power button together with the TEST button. The thermometer will beep twice to confirm it’s ready. Hold the thermometer 1–2 cm away from the liquid or object (no cap required), and press the TEST button to take the measurement.
